Saint-Léon is in the southwest of France located community with 1,268 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Haute-Garonne in the region Occitania (before 2016: Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and is part of the canton of Escalquens (until 2015: canton of Nailloux ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Léonains .

Saint-Léon is located about 24 kilometers south-southeast of Toulouse in the Lauragais countryside . Saint-Léon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Belbèze-de-Lauragais in the north, Montgiscard in the northeast, Ayguesvives in the east and northeast, Nailloux in the southeast, Aignes in the south, Mauvaisin in the south and southwest, Auragne in the west, Noueilles in the west and northwest as well Pouze in the northwest.
