Geographical location
The municipality is located in Lauragais , 43 km east of Toulouse . The nearest towns are Montgey , Montégut-Lauragais , Puéchoursi , Saint-Julia and Garrevaques .
history
The place was founded in the 12th century. In 1271 the landlords of Nogaret swore an oath on the king for the first time.
On August 5, 1585, a procession that wanted to go to Montégut-Lauragais was surprised by the Reformed and many were killed.
The church of Nogaret, Saint-Etienne, was described as annexed by Montégut-Lauragais in 1538. The church there and the church of Nogaret were damaged by the Huguenots in 1570 . On January 5, 1774, the permanent secession of the parish of Montégut was decided.
