Montégut-Lauragais ( Occitan Montagut de Lauragués ) is a French commune with 442 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Revel . The inhabitants are called Montégutois .

Montégut-Lauragais is located in the Lauragais countryside , about 40 kilometers east-south-east of Toulouse . Montégut-Lauragais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nogaret in the north and northeast, Revel in the east and southeast, Roumens in the south, Saint-Félix-Lauragais in the southwest and Saint-Julia in the west and northwest.
