Lespinasse ( L'Espinassa in Occitan ) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region of France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Toulouse and the Canton of Castelginest . The 2,737 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) are called Lespinassois (es) .
geography
Lespinasse is a banlieue in the north and north-west of Toulouse on shipping canal Canal latéral à la Garonne . Lespinasse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jory in the north, Bruguières in the east and northeast, Saint-Alban in the south and southeast, Fenouillet in the south and Gagnac-sur-Garonne in the west.
The former route nationale 20 (today's D820) runs through the municipality .
