Bessières ( Occitan : Becièras ) is a French commune with 4073 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). Bessières belongs to the Arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Villemur-sur-Tarn (previously Montastruc-la-Conseillère ). The inhabitants are called Bessièrain (e) s .
geography
Bessières is located about 32 kilometers northeast of Toulouse on the Tarn River . Bessières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mirepoix-sur-Tarn in the north, Roquemaure (Département Tarn) in the east and north-east, Buzet-sur-Tarn in the south, Montjoire in the west and La Magdelaine-sur-Tarn in the north-west.
