Eaunes ( Occitan : Èunes ) is a French commune with 6,162 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region . Eaunes belongs to the Arrondissement of Muret and the canton of Portet-sur-Garonne . The inhabitants are called Eaunois (es) .

geography

Eaunes is located about twenty kilometers south-southeast of Toulouse between the Garonne and Ariège rivers . Eaunes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villate in the north, Labarthe-sur-Lèze in the northeast, Lagardelle-sur-Lèze in the east, Beaumont-sur-Lèze in the south and Muret in the west.
