The Nikoxenos painter named with the emergency name was an Attic vase painter of the black and red figure style .

The Nikoxenos Painter was one of the few painters who apparently worked in both major color styles of their own accord. He paints amphorae and pelicas in the black-figure style, which is strongly reminiscent of the works of the Leagros group . Its hydria ( calpids with a continuous profile) are already in the tradition of the new style. The Nikoxenos painter worked better in black than red-figure style. His pupil was the Eucharides painter , there are also theories that both painters were the same person. The painter's works are dated to the end of the 6th and the beginning of the 5th century BC.
