Nilesat 102 is a former television satellite of the Egyptian Satellite Co. (Nilesat) founded in 1996 . It was launched into space on August 17, 2000 from the Kourou spaceport in French Guiana and moved to cemetery orbit in June 2018 .
reception
The satellite could be received in North Africa and Southern Europe , in Germany from an antenna diameter of approx. 90 cm. The transmission took place in the Ku band .
