Nils Rosén

Nils Henning Rosén (born May 22, 1902 in Helsingborg ; † June 25, 1951 ibid) was a Swedish national football player .

Rosén started playing football at Helsingborgs FF at the age of 14 . At the age of 19, he moved to the first division and local rivals Helsingborgs IF in 1922 , where after a short time he became a regular player on the position of center stage . After he missed the entire season in the 1927/28 season due to a serious leg injury and his team was second in the league, he returned to the team for the 1928/29 season and won the championship for the first time. Overall, Rosén won four championship titles in the Swedish elite class Allsvenskan . Known above all for his header game and tactical skills, Rosén ended his active career in 1935 after 212 first division games and twelve goals.

Rosén made his debut for Sweden on June 21, 1925 in a 1-0 victory over the German national team. At the World Cup in Italy in 1934 , Rosén was the captain of the Scandinavians in both games and was eliminated from the tournament after a 1: 2 defeat against the German team. A few months later - on September 23, 1934 - Rosén played in the national dress for the last time. In total, he brought it to 25 missions, including six as captain of the national selection.
