Nils T. Bjørke (born March 9, 1959 in Voss ) is a Norwegian agricultural functionary and politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp). From 2009 to 2014 he chaired the Norwegian farmers' association Norges Bondelag , and has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

Bjørke works as a farmer and has his own farm in the municipality of Voss. From 2000 to 2006 he headed the Norges Bondelag farmers' association in what was then the province of Hordaland , and then became a member of the board of the all-Norwegian association. From 2009 to 2014 he was its chairman. Between 2000 and 2009 he was also part of the board of the national development organization Innovasjon Norge in Hordaland.

In 2015 he became a member of the local parliament of Voss and the Fylkesting of Hordaland. Bjørke moved into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time after the 2017 general election . There he represents the constituency of Hordaland and is a member of the Control and Constitutional Committee, of which he is deputy chairman. He was also elected fourth Vice-President of Parliament.

Bjørke's grandmother was the Senterpartiet politician Karen Grønn-Hagen .
