Ninon Vallin
Ninon Vallin , actually Eugénie Vallin , (born September 8, 1886 in Montalieu-Vercieu , Département Isère , † November 22, 1961 in Millery , near Lyon ) was a French stage actress , opera singer ( soprano ) and singing teacher .
Life
Vallin studied at the Conservatory in Lyon and later in Paris . She was discovered by Claude Debussy in 1911 to sing in Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien . She later sang in numerous operas and operettas. Her career lasted more than four decades in which she was internationally successful.
From 1953 to 1959 she was a professor at the Conservatory in Montevideo .

Ninon Vallin made vocal recordings from 1913 to the early 1950s, which are now available as CD recordings. These are:
