Nitker
Nitker von Freising , also Nizzo († April 6, 1052 ) was the 18th bishop of Freising from 1039 to 1052 .
Nitker belonged to a wealthy Regensburg merchant family, to which Heinrich III. maintained friendly relations. Under Bishop Nitker, a large part of the relics of St. Nonnosus came to Freising, where they were a much-visited pilgrimage destination. The oil of the grave lamp was said to have healing properties, through an opening in the stone coffin you can still crawl through and get help.
When the Eichstätter Bishop Heribert died on his return journey from the imperial court in 1042 in or near Freising, Nikter, who had accompanied him, buried him in the monastery of Sankt Walburg founded by Heribert in Eichstätt .
