Nkutshu

The Nkutshu (also Ankutshu and Bankutshu , Akutshu, Bakontou, Bakutsu, Bakutu, Bankusu, Bankutshu, Bankutu, Basongo-Meno, Kutschu, Ohindo, Wankutshu) are an ethnic group from the Kasaï-Oriental province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo . They speak a Bantu language . Your direct neighbors are the Ndengse, Yela and Ooli. The region is heavily forested. Most of the Nkutshu traditionally live as small farmers and grow manioc , bananas and kola nuts .

The Nkutshu are known for their special knives , some of which have a weighted handle .

The Nkutshu are closely related to the Kusu and Tetela ; these ethnic groups share a common history and originally immigrated from more north-western areas.
