Noémia Sequeira (born April 27, 1980 in Oe-Cusse Ambeno , East Timor ) is a politician from East Timor. She is a member of the FRETILIN party and its women's organization OPMT.

Career

Sequeira comes from Oe-Cusse Ambeno, where she worked for various non-governmental organizations. In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 , she ran at number 24 on the FRETILIN list, but missed the direct entry into the East Timor’s national parliament . But since elected members of FRETILIN waived their seat, Sequeira moved up to parliament in 2017. Here she became a member of the Commission for Public Finance (Commission C) and a deputy member of the Administrative Council of Parliament. In the 2018 parliamentary elections , Sequeira again narrowly missed direct entry into parliament at number 24 on the list, but moved up for Marí Bin Amude Alkatiri , who renounced his seat. Sequeira remains a member of the Public Finance Commission (C).
