Noah Veraguth (born July 13, 1987 in Biel ) is a Swiss pop-rock singer and musician and lead singer of the band Pegasus .

Life

Private

Veraguth's mother comes from Brazil, his father is from Graubünden, and his grandmother was a pianist. He broke off a commercial apprenticeship in a travel agency to focus entirely on his passion for music. He lived in Biel, London, Berlin and Zurich.

In February 2020, Noah Veraguth married the Japanese artist and illustrator Sayori Wada. The two had previously been a couple for around three years and lived together in Berlin. Veraguth has lived in Küsnacht since 2019 and plays football at FC Herrliberg.

Noah Veraguth grew up on the same street in Biel with Simon Spahr and Gabriel Spahni. Even at a very young age they entertained the residents of the neighborhood with small concerts in living rooms, basements or in the park. Stefan Brønner was later added as a drummer. Her first musical influences were the Beatles and other rock 'n' roll pioneers . In 1996 they formed the band Pegasus and released their debut album A Place to Be in 2007 . Since then, Noah Veraguth has been the band's lead singer, playing guitar and piano. Pegasus is one of the most successful pop bands in Switzerland and has already received several platinum and gold awards as well as three Swiss Music Awards. The band had numerous single hits and a year and a half chart placement of the album Love & Gunfire . Pegasus impressed live at major festivals and sold-out tours in Switzerland and as the opening act for Hurts on their European tour as well as at festival and club shows in Germany, Austria, Belgium as well as in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Solo career

From 2012, Noah Veraguth moved more and more into the focus of the doctoral thesis for Pegasus. At the end of 2012 he reached first place on the Swiss charts with the album Noël's Room, together with rapper Stress and singer Bastian Baker . In promoting the 2014 Digital Kids album, the singer's strong presence in the tabloid media continued. The tabloid Blick reported in a homestory about his move to Zurich. The Schweizer Illustrierte reported from a concert in Hamburg Prinzenbar entitled Noah Veraguth & Co. in Hamburg .

Others

In the third season of the program The Voice of Switzerland , which was broadcast from January 27 to April 6, 2020, Veraguth was one of the four coaches. The singer Remo Forrer , accompanied by him, won the competition.
