Nodi lymphoidei pancreatici

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nodi lymphoidei pancreatici ("pancreatic lymph nodes ") are lymph nodes in the abdominal cavity on the back and top of the pancreas . They are divided into two groups:

  • Nll. pancreatici superiores ("upper pancreatic lymph nodes"), lie along the splenic vein
  • Nll. pancreatici inferiores ("lower pancreatic lymph nodes")

The pancreatic lymph nodes are transit stations for the lymph from the body and tail of the pancreas, the spleen and the duodenum , the upper ones also from the great curvature of the stomach and the lower section of the common bile duct . The efferent lymphatic vessels flow via the celiac lymph nodes and the intestinal trunk to the cisterna chyli .
