Noir is the second studio album by the US electronica band William Control .

Emergence

Wil Francis and Zombie Nicholas (Nick Wiggins) worked after the debut album Hate Culture again with Kenneth Fletcher from Aiden and Stephen Jeffreys on the second album. Francis, Nicholas, and Fletcher wrote foreplay together . Jeffreys contributed the more than ten-minute epilogue . The noir that gave the album its title was created together with Luke Barnes . Can't Help Falling in Love is a cover version of the hit song by Elvis Presley . All other titles were written by Francis and Wiggins. I'm Only Human Sometimes alludes to the novel and film So Darkly the Night ; Dorian Gray tells the story of the same name from the perspective of the protagonist in Oscar Wilde's novel.

The album was recorded and produced by the band themselves in Sleepy Hollow Studios near San Francisco.

I'm Only Human Sometimes was released as a single three weeks before the album was released. The record company Victory Records, which also sells fan merchandise, included a pair of unisex underpants with the band's logo printed on the album when pre-ordered.
