Nomada bluethgeni is a bee from the family of Apidae .

features

The bees are 4 to 5 millimeters long. The head and thorax of the females are black and have pronounced red markings. The tergites are red to dark red-brown. The labrum is red and has a serrated transverse ridge behind the front edge. The third antennae is much longer than the fourth. The flat shield ( scutellum ) slopes backwards and is structured roughly punctiform. The rails ( tibia ) of the hind legs are drawn out to a blunt point at the end and have small thorns that do not lie next to each other. In the males, the body is black with yellow spots. The labrum is black with a yellow border. It has a crenulated degree in front of the front edge. The third antennae is longer than the fourth. The fourth through eighth links are knotty and thickened. The flat label is black. The thighs ( femora ) of the hind legs have a loose hair fringe at the bottom, which becomes long at the base and increasingly shorter towards the end. The rails of the hind legs are drawn out to a point at the end, have a bristle hair and two or three pale little thorns.

Occurrence and way of life

The species is distributed from France and Italy through Central Europe to the Balkans. The animals fly in two generations from April to June and from July to August. The species parasitizes Lasioglossum marginellum .
