The Nomtsas Cemetery ( English Cemetery at Nomtsas ) is a cemetery on the farm Nomtsas in the region Hardap in Namibia . It has been a National Monument of Namibia since March 15, 1969 .
The cemetery consists of only six taverns with gravestones and an obelisk . As formerly the largest sheep farm in Namibia, the cemetery houses the remains of the former owner (1893–1904) Ernst Ferdinand Wilhelm Hermann (1843–1904) and those seeking protection during the Herero War .
