from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nora Kulak is a German chemist and has been a professor of inorganic chemistry at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg since 2020 .

Life

Nora Kulak began studying chemistry in 1998 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . After receiving her diploma , she completed a doctorate in Roland Krämer's work group, which she completed in 2006. This was followed by a postdoc until 2008 at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing in Berlin . After another postdoctoral stay at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Stephen Lippard until 2010, she returned to Berlin the following year and began a junior professorship at Freie Universität . Since March 2020 she has held the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.

Research areas

Nora Kulak's research can be assigned to bioinorganic chemistry . The focus of the work is the synthesis of metal complexes . By incorporating these into biomolecules, interactions with DNA and proteins can be investigated.
