Norbert Dreßler

Norbert Dressler (* 1944 ) is a former politician of the SED . He was first deputy chairman of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district council .

The trained engineering economist with a technical college degree had been a member of the SED district leadership in Karl-Marx-Stadt from 1978, where he was head of the state affairs department until 1985. From May 1981 he was a member of the Karl-Marx-Stadt district assembly . On February 27, 1985 he became the first deputy of the district council chairman Lothar Fichtner (successor to Günter Bayer).

He was recalled from his position as first deputy chairman on February 28, 1990 at the 17th session of the district assembly. From March 1990 he was head of the working group in the Karl-Marx-Stadt district to prepare for the formation of the state of Saxony . When the working group on the constitution of the state of Saxony was formed in April 1990 , Norbert Dreßler represented the SED-PDS there for some time .
