Norbert Henrichs
Norbert Henrichs (born July 5, 1935 in Essen ; † May 2, 2016 ) was a German information scientist .
Until his retirement he was a professor of information science at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .
Its name is primarily associated with the text word method , a method for non-discriminatory indexing of texts that are not subject to any scientific standard language. In his late writings, he dealt particularly with information anthropology and the social and cultural effects of information markets. Henrichs is considered one of the pioneers in information science in Germany.
