Norbert Labenz

Norbert Labenz (* 1929 ) is a German sculptor and poet .

Life

Born towards the end of the Weimar Republic , Norbert Labenz attended the humanistic grammar school and in the post-war period the art school in Hanover .

From 1952 Labenz worked as a freelance sculptor. His work encompassed all areas of the fine arts. In addition to public and private contracts, he also took on contracts for industry in the areas of development and design.

As part of the junior competition “Art + Architecture 78”, Labenz was awarded “for exemplary integration of art and architecture in public space ”.

In 1979 Norbert Labenz had an apartment and studio at Besselhof 5 in Hemmingen .
