Norbert Seeger

Norbert Seeger (* 1953 in Vaduz ) is a Liechtenstein lawyer, honorary consul general of the Republic of North Macedonia and holder of the Princely Liechtenstein Order of Merit .

biography

Seeger studied economics from 1973 to 1978 at the University of St. Gallen and graduated with a lic.oec. from. He then studied law at the University of Bern from 1978 to 1980 . In 1980 he received his lic.iur. In 1986 he received his doctorate in law .

In 1984 Seeger was admitted to the bar in Liechtenstein. From 1986 to 1989 he worked as an appeals judge at the Liechtenstein Administrative Court. From 1989 to 1993 he was Deputy Chairman of the Administrative Court. From 1986 to 1993 he was a board member of the Liechtenstein Bar Association . He was also a member of the examination commission for Liechtenstein lawyers from 1991 to 1999, and was president of the examination commission for Liechtenstein trustees from 1992 to 1996.

Seeger was politically active in the Progressive Citizens' Party , which he served as president from 1995 to 2000. From 2004 to 2005 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Liechtenstein Broadcasting Corporation .

Seeger has been Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Macedonia in the Principality of Liechtenstein since 1996. From 1987 to 2003 he was President of the Liechtenstein National Library . From 1989 to 2005 he was a board member of the European Lawyers' Association. Seeger has been President of the FinQ Quality Institute for Financial Services eV in Vaduz since 2005 . For his services to the State of Liechtenstein, Prince Hans-Adam II awarded him the Commander's Cross of the Princely Liechtenstein Order of Merit on December 2, 2011.

In 2013, Seeger helped found a museum for classic cars in Eschen .
