It is the monastery church of the Norbertan nunnery in Krakow.
history
The monastery and the church were founded around the middle of the 12th century by the knight Jaksa Gryfita after his return from the crusade to the Holy Land. The monastery and church were badly damaged in the Mongol storm in 1241. The reconstruction took place in the years from 1255 to 1259. However, the church and monastery were again badly damaged during the next attacks by the Tatars in 1260 and 1287. The tradition of Lajkonik is connected with this . Again the church was during the siege of Krakow by Maximilian III. Habsburg damaged in 1587.
From 1596 to 1626 it was baroque by Giovanni Trevano and Giovanni Petrini . Władysław Łuszczkiewicz created the painting of John the Baptist, the second patron of the church.
