Career

Offensive player Cassanello, sometimes also spelled Casanello , played at club level from 1920 to 1922 for the Montevideo Wanderers in the Primera División . In 1925 he strengthened the Team Nacional Montevideos on its European tour.

National team

Cassanello was a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed eleven international matches between October 23, 1921 and August 10, 1924. He did not score an international goal. Cassanello was part of the Uruguayan squad at the South American Championships in 1921 and 1922 . In 1922 he won the Copa Lipton and the Copa Premio Honor Uruguayo with Uruguay . He was also a member of the team at the Copa Newton in 1922 and the Copa Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores in 1923 and 1924.
