Regional Association of Northern Grisons

The Regionalverband Nordbünden is a corporation under public law according to the Graubünden canton constitution. Of all the regional associations in the canton of Graubünden, with around 76,000 inhabitants, 4,700 companies and workplaces and more than 40,000 employees, it is the largest and economically strongest.

It comprises (as of 2010) 29 communities in the regions of Bündner Herrschaft , Fünf Dörfer , Chur , Schanfigg and Churwaldnertal .

His tasks include the coordination of infrastructure projects, e.g. B. in the field of transport and the promotion of the attractiveness of the region for business enterprises.

The Bündner Herrschaft and the five villages are planning to leave the regional association in 2012, to found their own regional association and to join the Heidiland tourism and marketing region . With the exception of Haldenstein, all municipalities of the five villages agreed to join the new regional association Bündner Herrschaft / five villages in November 2011 .
