The Churwaldnertal in the canton of Graubünden is a valley about 15 km long that begins south of Chur near Araschgen and extends to Valbella on the Lenzerheide pass. The Rabiosa flows through it.

Villages

The three villages of the valley, Churwalden , Malix and Parpan have merged since January 1st 2010 to form the new municipality of Churwalden. Regional policy has the Churwaldnertal in sympathy a minority, especially in after Lenzerheide oriented toward Parpan for the region Mittelbünden , the regional association Nordbünden connected.

The valley, which has been German-speaking since the 16th century and whose field names still testify to the Romansh original language, is traditionally mixed in terms of denominations; about half each Protestant - Reformed and Roman Catholic .
