Parpan Reformed Church
Parish before the merger on December 31, 2009

Although the Lenzerheide as part of the transit route from Chur to Northern Italy was already widely used in Roman times, the permanent settlement did not take place until the 13th century under the influence of the Churwalden monastery . The place mentioned in a document as Partipan in 1208 formed a neighborhood of the Churwalden court in the Drei Bünden . In addition to agriculture and pass traffic, ore mining on the Parpaner Rothorn represented an economic basis for the small village. This ended with the Plurs landslide on September 4, 1618, in which the whole Verthemati-Franchi family , who also owned the Parpaner mining rights, died.
