Araschgen is a fraction ( district ) of the Grisons canton capital Chur with around 250 inhabitants.
location
Araschgen is around two kilometers from the actual urban area and can be reached via the Chur bypass south. Geographically, Araschgen belongs to the Churwaldnertal as the outermost foothill . In the east, the Rabiosa marks the border with Passugg , which at the same time divides Chur and Churwalden territory.
traffic
The Araschgerrank on the Chur – Lenzerheide route is known across the canton , from where the St. Luzibrücke spanning the valley to Schanfiggerstrasse will be built over the next few years . The Tschiertscherstrasse leads through Araschgen itself via Praden to Tschiertschen .
Infrastructure
In Araschgen there is a kindergarten and a village church built in modern concrete style , which is used as a simultaneous church by Reformed and Catholics alike. The Fontana educational facility for the deaf is located on the Araschger side of the Rabiosa, but belongs to the municipality of Malix .
