The Lacuna district is a district in the northeast of the city of Chur in the Swiss canton of Graubünden . It borders on the Giacometti , Tittwiesen , Dreibünden and Wiesental districts . The high-rise buildings designed by Thomas Domenig are characteristic of the quarter . Lacuna I was built between 1964 and 1972, Lacuna II between 1972 and 1981. It is one of the largest privately built development in Switzerland. The 24-storey Lacuna high-rise is the tallest building in the canton. The quarter is delimited to the west by Tittwiesenstrasse, to the east by Aspermontstrasse, to the north by Giacomettistrasse and to the south by Ringstrasse.

The Lacuna district is divided into three smaller quarters: Central Lacuna in the western center, Lachen in the north and Belmont in the south. The «Lachen» school building is one of the most modern in Chur and at the same time the primary school building with the largest number of pupils in the city.

The Kulturforum Würth Chur is also located in the Lacuna district .
