The North Bridge ( Ukrainian Північний міст / Piwnitschnyj Mist ) is a cable-stayed bridge over the Dnieper in the north of the Ukrainian capital Kiev . Until 2018 the bridge was called Moscow Bridge . On February 22, 2018, the Kiev City Council decided to rename the bridge the North Bridge .

The chief engineer of the road bridge , which opened on December 3, 1976, was Heorhij Fuks , the chief designer of the Kiev city architect Anatolij Dobrowolskyj . The bridge has 6 lanes for road traffic and consists of a 816 m long and 31.4 m wide bridge from the right Dneprufer in the town of rajon Obolon to Muromets Island and from there over a length of 732 m and a width of 29.1 m to Stadtrajon Desna on the left Dneprufer of the city. The A-shaped reinforced concrete mast is 81.5 m high, the total height is 119 m, the main span of the bridge is 300 m.
