The Muromets Island ( Ukrainian Муромець острів ) is a 148-hectare river island at the mouth of the Desna in the Dnieper in the north of the Ukrainian capital Kiev .
The sand island formed by the silting up of the Dnieper and the Desna is located north of the Truchaniv Island in the Kiev city of Desna . The length of the island is about 7.5 km and the width 1.2 km.
The island is a local recreation area , on which the 1972 established "Park of Friendship of Nations" is located. The flora and fauna are similar to that of Trukhaniv Island and the other Dnieper Islands. The north bridge is located in the south of the island .
