The Nordfriesland was a passenger steamer that operated as a ferry between Harle , Neuharlingersiel and Spiekeroog .

The ship

The North Friesland was probably built in 1886 under the name Hammer for traffic between Husum and Sylt. In 1907 the steamer was bought by the bathing administration and used for traffic between Neuharlingersiel, Harle and Spiekeroog and renamed in North Friesland .

In 1912 the Nordfriesland was replaced by the motor ship Spiekeroog .

The whereabouts of the steamer are not known, but it can be assumed that it was lost in the First World War.
