Women's Nordic Football Championship 1979
The 1979 Nordic Football Championship for women's national football teams took place in Norway between July 5th and 8th . The competition, which was held for the sixth time, was won by defending champion Sweden for the third time in a row.

The four participating teams played the tournament winner according to the "everyone against everyone" mode, with each team playing once against each other. The team that had the most points or, if there was a tie, the better goal difference at the end of all games, won the tournament.
