The North Rhine-Westphalian Society for Endocrinology and Diabetology e. V. is a specialist society and lobby group for people who are clinically or scientifically active in the field of endocrinology or diabetology in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The society, which was founded in 1995 on the initiative of Helmut Schatz , is also the North Rhine-Westphalia regional group of the German Diabetes Society . It is operationally active through regular conferences , science awards and networking . Young doctors and scientists can apply for travel grants to endocrinology conferences.
According to the articles of association, the purpose of the company is to promote education, research and science in the field of endocrinology and diabetes mellitus . According to its own information, the society has over 300 active members.
