Noreikiškės

Noreikiškės is a settlement in the Kaunas district in Lithuania and the center of the Ringaudai district ( Ringaudų seniūnija ). It is located on the western outskirts. 926 inhabitants live in Noreikiškės (2011), in 2001 there were 383 inhabitants. The World Farmers' Championship took place here in September 2007. In the so-called "Obelynė" ( "apple tree grove") is the Park Obelynė and the house of the scientist and professor of biology (especially ornithology ) Tadas Ivanauskas (1882-1970). The Aleksandras Stulginskis University , which was founded in Dotnuva in 1924 as the Agricultural Academy, has its headquarters here .
