Lists on the subject |
The Norinco Type 86 is a Chinese assault rifle .
The Type 86 was developed and produced by Norinco in the 1980s. The gun is designed in the Bullpup design, so the slide and loading mechanism are behind the trigger.
When building the weapon, the Chinese developers based themselves on the design of various foreign models and used the existing technology of the Type 56 , a clone of the AK-47 . A large handle with an integrated rear sight and front sight is strongly reminiscent of that of the French FAMAS , the handle is similar to that of the Steyr AUG . Norinco exported the weapon worldwide. Some even made it to the US until President Clinton banned the import of Chinese weapons.
