Norman Solomon (rabbi)
Norman Solomon (born May 31, 1933 in Cardiff ) is a British rabbi , lecturer and author .
Life
Norman Solomon attended Cardiff High School and St. John's College in Cambridge . In 1961 he received his rabbinical diploma from Jew's College in London and in 1966 his doctorate from the University of Manchester .
He was rabbi of Orthodox parishes in Manchester , Liverpool , London and Birmingham and President of the British Association for Jewish Studies (1994). Norman Solomon is also visiting professor of Jewish studies and lecturer in theology at Oxford University . Solomon is the author of several books on Judaism .
