The Kamen Barbarians are a sledge ice hockey team from Kamen and the first from the Ruhr area . They were founded in October 2004 and have been registered in the register of associations since April 2005. You play as one of six teams in the German Sledge Ice Hockey League .
history
After it was founded in October 2004, the Barbarians formed a syndicate with the Yetis Wiehl under the name SG Kamen / Wiehl from the 2005/06 season . In the 2007/08 season they secured the title of German champions for the first time when they won both duels against the series champions Hannover Scorpions .
After the 2007/08 season, the Kamen Barbarians took over the place of the syndicate in the DSL, while the Yetis have been participating in the DSL as Wiehl Penguins since 2008 .
