The 2007/08 season was the eighth season of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League . With the Bremen Pirates , Cardinals Dresden , Hanover Scorpions , Heidelberg Knights and SG Kamen / Wiehl , five teams took part in the game. SG Kamen / Wiehl secured the title of German Champion for the first time.

The five teams played the season in the league system . Each team played a total of eight times and thus twice against each other team. The season consisted of a total of 20 games. There were three points for a win. The tie was abolished and a penalty shootout followed instead . The winner of the penalty shootout received two points and the losing team received one point.
Season course
On the first day of the match, the SG Kamen / Wiehl caused a surprise when they defeated the subscription champions Hannover Scorpions 4: 3 after a penalty shootout . The SG Kamen / Wiehl defended their one-point lead over the Lower Saxony in the course of the season and won the following six games without any problems. Likewise, the Scorpions followed suit, so that on March 22nd, a week before the start of the World Cup in the United States , the championship final came. The SG Kamen / Wiehl defeated the Hannover Scorpions on their ice 2-0 and dethroned them for the first time as champions in the history of the top German division.
Behind them, the Cardinals Dresden placed third, albeit a long way from the two leaders. For the Dresdeners, the victories in the duels against the direct competitor from Bremen were decisive for reaching third place. The Heidelberg Knights landed again behind in fifth and last place.
