The 2001/02 season was the second season of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League . As in the previous year, the Bremen Pirates , Cardinals Dresden and Hannover Scorpions three teams took part in the game. The Hanover Scorpions again secured the title of German champion .

mode

The three teams played the season in the league system . Each team played a total of eight times and thus four times against each other team. The season comprised a total of twelve games. There were three points for a win instead of two, and one for each team in the case of a draw.

Season course

After the previous season had only started in February 2001, the new season started this time four months earlier in October of the same year. The Hanover Scorpions demonstrated their supremacy in their very first games against their competitors, who they won 35-0 in Bremen and 21-0 against Dresden. The Hanoverians finally secured the second championship title confidently and without losing points. The places behind were occupied by the Cardinals Dresden, who all won the comparison against Bremen.
