The 2000/01 season was the first season of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League . With the Bremen Pirates , Cardinals Dresden and Hannover Scorpions , three teams took part in the game in the first season. The Hanover Scorpions secured the title of German Champion .

mode

The three teams played the season in the league system . Each team played a total of four times and thus twice against each other team. The season consisted of six games in total. There were two points for a win, one for each team in the case of a draw.

Season course

The first DSL game was played on February 4, 2001 by the Cardinals Dresden and the Hannover Scorpions. Hannover won the game confidently 10-0 and two weeks later laid the foundation for their first championship title with a 9-0 win in Bremen. After the return games against both teams had been won with confidence, the Hanoverians celebrated their first championship title on March 9, 2001. The following games between Dresden and Bremen only had statistical value.
