The 2016/17 season was the 17th season of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League . The season started on November 19, 2016 and ended on March 12, 2017. The Weserstars Bremen won the championship for the third time in a row. The Ice Lions Langenhagen took second place tied, but had the worse goal difference.

In comparison to the previous year, the same teams took part in the match, with the Preussen / Saxony syndicate being dissolved and the Cardinals from Dresden competing alone again. The SG Kamen / Wiehl started as SpG NRW in the 2016/17 season .

mode

The four participating teams played the season in the league system as a double round, each team played a total of 12 times and thus four times against each other team. There were three points for a win. In the event of a tie, a penalty shoot-out followed . The winner of the penalty shootout received two points and the losing team received one point.
