The 2008/09 season was the ninth season of the German Sledge Ice Hockey League . With the spun off Hannover Scorpions , who now competed as Ice Lions Langenhagen , and the newly added Wiehl Penguins , six teams now took part in the game. The Ice Lions Langenhagen secured the title of German champion early.

mode

The six teams played the season in the league system . Each team played a total of ten times and thus twice against each other team. The season consisted of 30 games in total. There were three points for a win. In the event of a tie, a penalty shoot-out followed . The winner of the penalty shootout received two points and the losing team received one point.
