The Weserstars Bremen (until about 2014 Bremer Pirates ) are a sledge ice hockey team from Bremen that plays in the German Para-Ice Hockey League (DSL). It initially belonged to the Bremer EC, from 2013 to the Weserstars Bremen as a department and has been involved in gaming since 2000 .
history
The Pirates are one of the three teams that founded the DSL in the winter of 2000. In the first four seasons, they ended the season without a win and beaten from the bottom of the table. It was only with the inclusion of the Heidelberg Knights and the associated increase in the league to five clubs that the Bremen team shed their loser image and were able to win two games for the first time in the 2004/05 season . For the first time, they did not end the year in last place in the table. In the following two seasons they were able to win three of the eight season games.
