Norröra

Norröra is an island in Norrtälje kommun in the Stockholm archipelago . She was best known in the 1960s for Astrid Lindgren's film Ferien auf Saltkrokan . To this day (2007) the interest in Saltkrokan lives on. During the summer there are guided tours through Norröra and Söderöra (Saltkrokan). For example, it shows where Melcher fell into the water and where he sat in the wasp's nest.

The island is inhabited all year round. Since April 2006 the island has been called at daily by the ferry companies Waxholmsbolaget and Blidosundsbolaget .
