Black Rose Anarchist Federation or Federación Anarquista Rosa Negra ( BRRN ) ( German Anarchist Federation Black Rose ) (formerly NEFAC , English North Eastern Federation of Anarchist Communists , French : Fédération des Communistes Libertaires du Nord-Est , then English Common Struggle - Libertarian Communist Federation or Spanish Lucha Común - Federación Comunista Libertaria ) is an anarchist federation in North America . BRRN has a social- anarchist , anarcho-communist and platformist orientation and is the anarchist organization in North America with the largest number of members .

history

The predecessor organization NEFAC was founded in 2000, precisely as a counterpoint to the strong anti-organizational positions of many groups of recent American anarchism. It was joined by members of the previously disintegrated group Love and Rage . In 2011, NEFAC renamed itself Common Struggle or Lucha Común in Spanish . In 2015, Common Struggle merged with other anarchist groups to form the Black Rose Anarchist Federation / Federación Anarquista Rosa Negra .

activities

BRRN is heavily involved in labor disputes , so it repeatedly supports strikes . The predecessor organization NEFAC was a founding member of the former International Libertarian Solidarity (ILS).

Publications

The English-language magazine Northeastern Anarchist has been published twice a year since spring 2001 . The bilingual (English / Spanish) Freedom / Libertad has been published since 2009 .
