The North Galaxy Towers are twin towers in Quartier Nord , the central business district of the Belgian capital, Brussels . A third building with six floors is also part of the complex. The first two floors and the lobby are shared by all three buildings. The complex is right next to Brussels North Train Station .

history

The two towers are 107 meters high, making them among the tallest buildings in Belgium . The complex has 110,000 square meters of office space above ground and a further 46,000 square meters below ground. More than 8,000 square meters underground are used as an archive. There are a total of 35 elevators in the facility.

The towers were originally designed as part of the Brussels World Trade Center complex . The idea of a complex of eight buildings was discarded and the North Galaxy Towers were planned, designed and built as an independent project. Construction of the towers began in 1999 and was completed in 2004.

The facility is leased from the Belgian government. It houses the Public Financial Service and other government agencies, with all three buildings used for administration and management.
