Norverto Osa

Norverto Osa (born June 5, 1832 in Marinilla , † 1893 in Paris ) was a Colombian banker and diplomat .

Life

He was the son of Ana Maria Jiménez and Salvador Joaquín Ossa. For a time he traded in places in Rionegro . Later he founded with Felipe Díaz Erazo (1840-1916) on the Malecón height Avd. Illingworth in Guayaquil , Ecuador the banking house Norverto Osa I Ca. , which held the majority of shares in the Banco del Ecuador in 1885 and after his death in Casa Max Muller i Ca. was renamed.

From 1864 he lived as a Colombian envoy in Paris. He married Auguste Riensch, daughter of the banker Adolph Riensch, in Hamburg. He left an extensive financial fortune to his descendants, from which his widow had the Villa de Osa built.
